I was born in Mackay and the family moved to Brisbane in 1977. Growing up I remember holidays in outback Queensland on cattle and sheep stations. I have fond memories of sitting around campfires and have always enjoyed camping holidays.

I ran the family real estate business in Brisbane before we decided to hop off the merry-go-round and hit the road. Seeing Australia and the prospect of camping beside a few quiet billabongs again seemed too good to resist.

City life had become less and less appealing, with its quickening pace, 'every man for himself' way of thinking. It wasn't for us anyway.

The thing that I really enjoy about travelling is the people. Meeting real Australians - funny, friendly and generous - a far cry from a sometimes 'dog eat dog' attitude in the city.

Other interests: I'm a frustrated musician having played guitar since I was about 10.  I pretend to be computer savvy and I'm working on my photography skills.

I was born in Sydney. I spent 15 years working in admin with the NSW Police, Australian Securities Commission and Worksafe.  I then moved into the private sector where I worked for companies such as Westfield, GRW and AMP.

In 1999 I decided Sydney wasn't for me and I moved to Brisbane.  After 6 months I bought a property off a handsome real estate agent and, eventually, slowed him down enough to marry me.

I love reading, cooking and also make bead jewellery. Like every girl I  believe in retail therapy, a good coffee and a big slice of chocolate cake, oh and I like camping too. J
