It chronicles our travels around Australia in our 4WD and Phoenix caravan. We are seeing some amazing places and meeting plenty of great people along the way. We hope you enjoy our stories & pictures and some of the magic that Australia has to offer.

The decision to hit the road full time to see Australia was an easy one.

Preparing for it was something else!

For us there was a lot of research involved in getting to a point where we could hit the road and travel Australia. The idea of quitting the rat race in our 40's and trying something completely different was an exciting prospect and we became passionate about the whole idea.

Craving for information we read books, magazines, searched the web and read internet forums. Our favourite thing was to follow other people's websites and read of their experiences, we couldn't get enough.

We hope the site will eventually provide a sizeable compilation of knowledge and ideas from which anyone considering 'dropping off the radar' can benefit.

The website also gives us an opportunity to keep a permanent record of our travels and to allow friends and family to keep tabs on where we've got to.
